We have updated our bioRxiv preprint on cis-regulatory variation in Capsella grandiflora. In the new version, we identify gene-body methylation as  a major predictor of cis-regulatory constraint, and we suggest that gene-specific, functional constraints related to dosage-sensitivity shapes the distribution of cis-regulatory variation in C. grandiflora.
